Live Learn Work DVD!
In 2009 the Local Economy Action Group and Middlesbrough Learning Partnership worked together to make a short film aimed at people aged 14-19 years old in Middlesbrough. The file was named 'Live, Learn and Work' and included clips of local entrepreneur Kate Fearnley (of Kate Fearnley Boutique), Middlesbrough Football Club, The Transporter Bridge, mima, Middlehaven and the new Middlesbrough College
The DVD was produced as part of a project to raise awareness of opportunities available in Middlesbrough for young people and to help raise aspirations. The aim of the film was to encourage young people to remain in Middlesbrough to 'Live, Learn and Work'.
Local organisations that have regular contact with young people used the DVD as a tool to develop and improve their relationships and inform young people of the fantastic opportunities available on their doorstep.
In 2010 a new Live Learn Work film was developed to further demonstrate the many reasons why Middlesbrough is a great place to 'Live, Learn and Work'. The film will be used by partners as a tool to persuade and encourage young people to consider the opportunities available in Middlesbrough by providing appropriate advice and signposting for young people.
